Communication from the North Central Region of the Astronomical League (NCRAL):

"I would like to invite you all to a short zoom meeting to discuss the NCRAL 2026 Eastern Iowa Cosmic Conference and make known some items we need help with as a Region. This meeting is open to everyone, so you Alcors please let your membership know about it.
The meeting is at 7:00PM Central Time, Sunday evening, February 8th.

Agenda:
1) request for nominees for the various regional awards (Region Award, Newsletter Editor Award, and regional grants). Jim Dole (Vice-Chair) is the collector of the nominations.
2) request for nominees for the NCRAL Secretary/Treasurer. Roy Gustafson (our current Secretary/Treasurer) will be retiring after 10 years of distinguished service in this position at this year's NCRAL 2026 conference. Please let your members know about this opportunity and let me know if you have any questions.
3) Updates and presentation about the NCRAL 2026 Eastern Iowa Cosmic Conference by the organizers (Gordon Baustian and Chris Kardos)
